NASA Successfully Launches Artemis III

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida -- NASA successfully launched the Artemis III mission from Kennedy Space Center on Thursday morning. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson congratulated the team, calling it "a historic achievement for space exploration."

The European Space Agency contributed key hardware, and Japan's JAXA provided scientific instruments for the lunar surface operations. Lockheed Martin built the Orion spacecraft.
