Bitcoin Implementation Consolidation Strategy¶
[AIR-3][AIS-3][BPC-3]
Overview¶
This document outlines the strategy for consolidating multiple Bitcoin implementation branches into a cohesive, hexagonal architecture-based implementation that follows the Bitcoin Development Framework v2.5 requirements.
Source Branches¶
feature/bitcoin-core: Core Bitcoin implementationfeature/bitcoin-implementation: Implementation-specific detailsfeature/bitcoin-layer2: Layer 2 protocols (RGB, DLC, Lightning)feature/bitcoin-testing: Testing infrastructurefeature/bitcoin-hexagonal-architecture: Hexagonal architecture structure (base branch)
Consolidation Approach¶
- Structure First: Maintain the hexagonal architecture from
feature/bitcoin-hexagonal-architecture - Preserve ports and adapters pattern
- Keep proper separation of concerns
-
Maintain BIP implementation documentation
-
Implementation Details: Selectively incorporate from other branches
- Core Bitcoin functionality from
feature/bitcoin-core - Layer 2 protocols from
feature/bitcoin-layer2 -
Testing infrastructure from
feature/bitcoin-testing -
Conflict Resolution Priorities:
- Structure conflicts: Prefer hexagonal architecture
- Implementation conflicts: Manual merge preserving functionality
- Documentation conflicts: Combine comprehensive documentation from all branches

Compliance Verification¶
All consolidated code will be verified against: 1. Bitcoin Development Framework v2.5 requirements 2. AI labeling standards [AIR-3][AIS-3][BPC-3] 3. Hexagonal architecture principles 4. BIP implementation status documentation
Next Steps¶
- Create consolidated PR from
feature/bitcoin-consolidatedtodev - Review and approve individual component consolidations
- Run comprehensive test suite
