3 - Domine, quid multiplicati?

Lord, how they are increased who trouble me; 🞙
many are those who rise against me.

Many there are who say of my soul, 🞙
“There is no help for him in his God.”

But you, O Lord, are my defender; 🞙
you are my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

I called upon the Lord with my voice, 🞙
and he heard me from his holy hill.

I lay down and slept, and rose up again, 🞙
for the Lord sustained me.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people 🞙
who have set themselves against me round about.

Rise up, O Lord, and help me, O my God; 🞙
for you smite all my enemies on the cheek-bone; you have
broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Salvation belongs to the Lord; 🞙
may your blessing be upon your people.
