UX research and product design
Hello — I'm Maya Okafor, a freelance UX researcher and designer. I'm based in Lagos and London.
I work with founders, charities, and small teams. They need good research without a long contract. Most projects run two to six weeks. Some clients keep me on a weekly retainer.

- Field Notes Collective (2025) — Archive rebuild for a nonprofit. 12 interviews, full IA rework, shipped in 6 weeks.
- Linden Editions (2024) — Editorial site for a literary journal. Print-to-web type that reads like a magazine.
- Polaris Maps (2024) — Wayfinding for a map publisher. A 4-month build with the cartography team.

What I don't offer
Visual rebrands, marketing redesigns, or AI roadmap work. Great people do those things. I'm happy to point you to them.
